How To Do The ‘Frenchic Wood Look’ Paint Hack
On moving in, we had the darkest wood windowsills, old fashioned and not on theme! I had seen Stacey Solomon do the ‘Frenchchic light wood hack’ on Instagram. The hack involves painting over the darker wood with a pale paint and then adding a browning wax to create the appearance of a light sandy wood finish, so rather than paint the sills and window frame […]
July Reads (And Podcasts)
Up to now, the books that I have read have all been autobiographies, however I’d seen quite a few recommendations for the book ‘The Flat Share’, I’ve never really been into ‘fiction’ and would prefer to learn something or take an interest in someone rather than listening to a story, but this book changed my mind, I’m glad I gave it a chance. The Flatshare […]

The Nursery is Complete! Shop Our Nursery, Plus Top Tips!
The first and most important room to be completed in our house renovation, is of course the nursery! Have a look at the before and afters of our nursery renovation and shop anything you might desire!
Let’s start with some good old ‘before and after’ photos of the different views of the room. When you are in the flow of renovating a house, the to do list seems endless and its sometimes easy to forget about the progress that you have made. I really enjoyed looking back at these and remembering all the work and changes (big and small) that we have put into the room. It’s always hard to remember to take before photos when you are in the motion, so these before photos are the best, I have…roll with it.
The Best Coffee Shops In York, North Yorkshire
I love a good coffee, and after living in York for three years, I declare myself a qualified coffee shop tester, so I thought I would share my favourites with you. When you do enjoy a good coffee, it’s so disappointing to get served instant or badly made coffee, so if this saves you the trial and error in York, then that’s my good deed […]
June Reads
Each month I get through a book or two, so thought I would share some thoughts on my reads. *Disclaimer* – when I say ‘reads’ I actually listen to the audio books on the ‘Audible’ app and go for a walk, I find this much for enjoyable! Since starting my maternity leave, walking has become a big part of my days, nowadays for enjoyment, but in the early days as a necessity to get baby to sleep! This is when I do most of my ‘reading’.
